FlyBuys have been getting active with some free Bonus Points promotions lately. One with Lasoo.com.au where you received 100 FlyBuys bonus points for registering. Now, FlyBuys is asking you to update your email address with them. This time you'll receive 50 FlyBuys bonus points but, it's better than nothing. Takes just seconds, and all you'll need is your email and your membership number. Keep 'em coming FlyBuys.

Did you know you receive FlyBuys bonus points when you join the Liquorland Direct Wine Club. Choose from four available mixed dozens, delivered every three months with no fuss and earn up to 8400 FlyBuys bonus points in your first year. Certainly sounds like a FlyBuys Bonus Boost to me ;)

If all members who have enjoyed a FlyBuys redemption since 1994 stood hand in hand, they would stretch out for 4355 kms. via @FlyBuys

flybuys is not as good as it used to be. why did they go and remove their bonus boost? It helped me boost my points as it did for heaps of other people. I think it is time they reviewed their scheme and put it back on and make it easier ofr us to earn points. 1 point per $5 isn't enough.

They have some great bonus point opportunities at the moment. Especially on a range of hampers, which we all know is a great thing to bring along at Christmas and get in the good books with the rellies! just go to flybuys.com.au and there is a link to the bonus booklet there.

No interesting stats this week... There hasn't even been a tweet for the last fortnight. Maybe something exciting is happening?

I wonder what changes Wesfarmers have planned for this program now that they own nearly half the FlyBuys participants. I'd to see more bonus points on offer like there was a few years ago. What would you like to see changed?

Just spent 3 months trying to get Flybuys to replace a defective gift card that they sent to me - they need to lift their game as far as customer service is concerned.

I love these boost points from coles, we cashed in on the last progam of boost points wich getting our free voucher, on top of that we are still earning flybuy points, it's fantastic, we are already up to $23 in the next boost giveaway!!!

The best thing they did a few years back was bring in rewards for only 2,500 points. Points don't expire for three years and I don't have any trouble getting at least that many points well before that time.

I've lost more points than what I'm earning, probably because I don't shop much at Coles or the associated stores all the time. I'm not going to spend money at any shop for something I don't need just to get points.

It also appears as though FlyBuys is trialling a new points system in Tasmania. Why Tasmania? Devonport is where the most FlyBuys points are earned each year. Nice!

Looks like the Giant Gift Card giveaway at FlyBuys at the moment is actually more rewarding than earning QANTAS points at Woolworths... 0.66% compared to 0.39%, plus Coles just gave away $100,000 and Woolworths is giving away 4 million Qantas Points (I think estimated value is $20,000? according to their terms and conditions).

flybuys USED TO be a good program when they had many and varied "Bonus Point" offers on everyday grocery items at Coles. It seems that when Wesfarmers bought Coles, they completely changed the whole Flybuys system, they now no longer offer any bonus points in the order of 100-1,000 as they did in years past, not it's just a piddly "double points" on the odd item here and there, that might add up to only 4-8 points. I have shopped regularly weekly at Coles for years, now it takes me years to earn enough for 1 x $50 or $100 Gift card, having literally spent THOUSANDS to achieve this. In my view, this program is no longer really worth being a member of, unless you want to redeem your points after Retirement age.

It's good to see a new promotion to cover off the entertainment arena. It's additions like the FlyBuys Box Office that will keep FlyBuys ahead of Woolworths, don't you think?

"Limited earning options"? Yep, I suppose I'm one of those weird folks that eats food, drives a car, drinks liquor and uses a credit card! Maybe I'd be better off with a card that rewards me every time I buy heavy road haulage equipment?

I mean I wouldn't go out of my way to shop where Flybuys were accepted. But if you shop there anyway, then I think you would be mad not to be a member. After all, it's free. And it you aren't changing your shopping habits, then what's the problem?

What's Flybuys' fascination with points per 5$? They have one earn partner where you earn 1 point per dollar (Hertz?), and one where you earn 1 per 2$, and the rest are like 1 per 5$ or 2 per 5$. What a rort! I even had a look the other day at my CBA credit card and compared a similar voucher to what I could get with Flybuys, including the Source Mastercard's increasing earn, and it works out to be not even half as good (if memory serves me correctly). I'd like to see Flybuys go for a point per dollar, or 2 points per $3. Then the rewards might compare to other cards out there. I guess the attraction with Flybuys is I can swipe it and my CBA card, right? But I don't like shopping at Coles, so that's that plan gone. Now that I think about it, my problem isn't really with Flybuys, but with the Source Mastercard. I'm better off having a different credit card and swiping Flybuys than I am to use the Coles branded credit card. That's just silly! Don't get me wrong, I don't like the Woolworth's credit card either. Flybuys... Bump up your points/dollar when using the Source MasterCard! -Me

There was a time when you could get 2,000 bonus FlyBuys points for spending $100 on particular product ranges at Coles. Haven't seen one of those in months! No more Myers for FlyBuys either. It's getting tougher to get points. I just cashed in all my points in case they go pear-shaped and I miss out on what I've earned. Anyone have an inside scoop?
